Will Grayson Will Grayson is a yound adult or realistic fiction novel. It’s by David Levithan, who wrote Will Grayson which is all the odd numbers chapters. Also John Green who wrote will grayson, all the even number chapters. The two authors help tie in the different personalities of the two Will Graysons.
There are two teenagers in Illinois named Will Grayson. The have different stories and backgrounds and around half way through the book they finally meet. The majority of the book leads up to this play written by Tiny, another character in the book and Will Grayson’s best friends. You see both Will Graysons grow up throughout this book. They learn a lot about themselves and does something great at the end to change themselves for the better.
Will Grayson is careless. I know this because there a lot of mentions in the book about the way he dresses or how little he cares his best friend, Tiny, is gay. You learn a lot about this “carelessness” which is a huge part of his storyline. will grayson is an over thinker, but not really in a good way. That’s important because there are a few conflicts because of this. Tiny is gay, I REALLY don’t mean that in an offensive way, that is a very key way to describe Tiny because he is not offended easily and him being gay has a lot to do with will grayson and the big play at the end of the book.
I liked this book a lot. At first I liked will grayson the most but after the characters developed more I began liking Will Grayson more, I know that sounds confusing. I really like the way the author’s organized the text. Will Grayson’s text has basic capitalization and the dialogue is in the paragraphs. will grayson’s text is all lower case and the dialogue is written like scene lines. Switching the way the text looks helps you to always know which Will Grayson is speaking. I wouldn’t recommend this book to everyone, that is because this book has really strong topics. I would only recommend this book to mature people that don’t get offended easily. The theme of Will Grayson Will Grayson is how important it is to think about your decisions and the way you act towards someone. This is an important theme because many people forget the way they are acting sometimes and that can hurt people around you.
